Set up Photos for Assistive Access on iPad
A person using Assistive Access on iPad can use the Photos app to view photos, videos, and selfies captured in the Camera app , as well as pictures and videos from shared albums. You can add and customize the Photos app when you set up Assistive Access or anytime after.
Add the Photos app
Exit Assistive Access if it’s active.
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Assistive Access.
Tap Manage Apps, then tap next to Photos.
To show pictures and videos in the Photos app from albums that are shared with the person using Assistive Access, turn on Include Shared Albums, then select the Shared Albums to include, or create one. See the Apple Support article How to use Shared Albums in Photos on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
If you choose not to include Shared Albums, the Photos app shows only the photos and videos that the person using Assistive Access captures in the Camera app. To add the Camera app to Assistive Access, see Set up Camera for Assistive Access.
