Use Find My on your Mac
The Find My app on macOS 10.15 or later helps you locate your friends and Apple devices using information stored in iCloud. Find the software version of your device.
First, set up Find My by sharing your location and adding your devices. Then, learn what you can do in the app on your Mac.

Find people
Location sharing: Once you share your location from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can use your Mac to stop and start sharing your location with friends at any time. Ask to follow your friends so you can see their locations on a map.
Set location notifications: Manage location notifications using your Mac. Automatically send notifications to friends when you arrive at or leave a specific location. Get notifications when your friends leave and arrive, too.
Learn how. See the “Find people” section of the Find My User Guide for Mac.
Find devices
Locate a device: See the location of your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple Watch, or AirPods on a map. Play a sound on a device to help you find it.
Mark a device as lost: If you lose a device, you can use your Mac to mark it as lost and help protect your personal information. Display a custom message on the lost device’s screen, telling people that the device is lost or how to find you. Once you find the device, you can turn off Lost Mode.
Erase a device: Remotely erase all of your personal information on a device from your Mac. Activation Lock remains on to protect it.
Remove a device from your account: If you’re no longer using a device, or you sold it or gave it away, remove it from your account so it doesn’t appear in Find My.
Learn how. See the “Find devices” section of the Find My User Guide for Mac.
You can also use iCloud.com to see the location of your friends and devices on a map. See Use Find My Friends on iCloud.com on your computer and Use Find My iPhone on iCloud.com on your computer.
