Add or change contact pictures in Contacts on Mac
Add or change the pictures that appear in contact cards and in other apps that use contact information, such as Mail and Messages. Your contacts don’t see the pictures you choose—only you do.
Add or change a Memoji
Go to the Contacts app
on your Mac.Select a card, then click Contact Photo & Poster.
Select Memoji in the sidebar, then do one of the following:
Create a Memoji: Click
in the top row, follow the onscreen instructions to customize your Memoji, then click Done.Select an existing Memoji: Click a Memoji.
Do any of the following to adjust the Memoji:
Zoom in or out: Drag the slider left or right.
Move the picture: Drag the picture around within the circle.
Select a facial expression: Click Pose, then select a Memoji pose.
Select a background color: Click Style, then select a style.
Click Save, then click Done at the top of the window.
Add or change an image
Go to the Contacts app
on your Mac.Select a card, then click Contact Photo & Poster.
Do one of the following:
Use an emoji: Select Emoji in the sidebar, then choose an emoji. If you don’t see the emoji you want, click
to see more choices. Click Style if you want to change the emoji background. When you’re finished, skip to step 5.Use a Memoji: Select Memoji in the sidebar, then choose a Memoji. To add a custom Memoji, click
in the top row, then follow the onscreen instructions to customize your Memoji features. You can also choose a Pose and Style. When you’re finished customizing your Memoji, click Done.Use a monogram: Select Monogram in the sidebar and choose a background color. You can also type in the circle to change the characters. When you’re finished customizing the monogram, skip to step 5.
Take a picture using your Mac: Click Camera, then when you’re ready, click
.Use a default system picture: Click Suggestions, then select a picture.
Adjust the picture:
Zoom in or out: Drag the slider left or right.
Move the picture: Drag the picture around within the circle.
Click Save, then click Done at the top of the window.
You can also change a contact’s image to a Memoji.
Delete a picture
Go to the Contacts app
on your Mac.Select a contact.
Choose Card > Clear Custom Image.
You can’t delete monograms.
