Get information about devices and device groups with Profile Manager on Mac
You can get information about a single device or a device group.
Get information about devices
In the Profile Manager sidebar, click Devices.
Select a device in the list, then click a tab to view information about the device:
About: Displays detailed information about the device, including software version, security settings, restrictions, installed apps and their version number, device group assignment (if any), and certificates that have been installed on the device. This information is updated each time the device contacts Profile Manager.
Settings: Shows the settings installed on the device.
Apps: Displays apps assigned to the device group (iOS and iPadOS devices only).
Books: Displays books assigned to the device group (iOS and iPadOS devices only).
Activity: Shows the device’s recent activity with Profile Manager. Use this to confirm that the device has the latest settings installed or has responded to your task requests.
Get information about device groups
In the Profile Manager sidebar, click Device Groups.
Select a device group in the list, then click a tab to view information about the device group:
About: Shows if the device group belongs to some other device group.
Settings: Shows the settings installed for the devices in the group.
Apps: Displays apps assigned to the device group (iOS and iPadOS devices only).
Books: Displays books assigned to the device group (iOS and iPadOS devices only).
Activity: Shows the device group’s recent activity with Profile Manager. Use this to confirm that a user in the group has the latest settings installed or that his or her device has responded to your task requests.
