Get started with Podcasts on Mac
The Podcasts app offers millions of shows on a variety of topics such as news, true crime, comedy, and more. You can listen online or download episodes so you can play them even when you’re not connected to the internet.
Find podcasts
To search for a specific podcast, click 
, then enter a word or phrase. Click Home in the sidebar for suggested podcasts based on your listening activity. Click New for featured podcasts selected by editors. Click and leave the search field blank to browse by category.
Listen to podcasts
Click 
to play a show or episode. While playing an episode, you can use the playback controls in the player or the Now Playing screen to rewind, skip ahead, pause the podcast, and more. To change the playback speed, click 
in the player, then choose Faster, Slower, or a preset speed.
Follow podcasts
Following a show adds it to your library, so you can easily access it from the sidebar. Click 
in search results, or select a show, then click Follow. You can also choose to receive notifications when new episodes are available for a show you follow.
Rate or review a show
You can rate a show from one to five stars, write a review, and read reviews other have left. Select a show, scroll down to the Ratings & Review section, then click in the row of stars to rate a show. You can also click Write a Review to rate and review a show.
