Delete pages or sections in Pages on iPad
You can easily delete any page in a page layout document, or an entire section (including all of its pages) in a word-processing document. You can also delete a portion of a page or a section.
Delete a page in a page layout document: Tap , turn on Page Thumbnails, then tap the document to close the options. Tap the thumbnail of the page you want to delete, tap the thumbnail again, then tap Delete. To select multiple pages, touch and hold one page as you tap other pages with a second finger, then lift your fingers.
Delete a section in a word-processing document: Tap , turn on Page Thumbnails, then tap the document to close the options. Tap the thumbnail of the section you want to delete (a background color appears behind all the pages in the same section), tap the thumbnail again, then tap .
Delete only a portion of a page or section: Copy or cut the content you want to keep, paste it somewhere else (a different page or section), then delete the original page or section as described above. Alternatively, you could select text only the content you don’t want, then tap .
Note: If you’re in word-processing document and end up with a blank page that you don’t want, tap to place the insertion point at the bottom of the page, then keep tapping until the page disappears. This removes all invisible characters like paragraph breaks and formatting elements.
Important: To recover any lost content, tap Undo or at the top of the screen.
