Start or manage a Final Cut Pro for iPad subscription
You can try Final Cut Pro for iPad free for 1 month. To begin your free trial, simply sign up for a monthly or yearly subscription using your Sign in to your Apple Account. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
You can use Family Sharing to share your Final Cut Pro for iPad subscription with up to five other family members. See Set up Family Sharing in the iPad User Guide.
Start a free trial subscription
When you open Final Cut Pro for iPad for the first time, you can sign up for a free 1-month trial.
Open Final Cut Pro for iPad, then tap Continue.
Tap Try Monthly or Try Yearly, then follow the onscreen instructions to subscribe using your Apple Account.
Note: If you previously subscribed to Final Cut Pro for iPad but still see the Try Monthly and Try Yearly buttons, tap Already Subscribed? and follow the onscreen instructions.
To start editing using a free demo project, tap Download, and when the project finishes downloading, open the project.
There’s no commitment—you can cancel your subscription at any time during the trial or thereafter.
Manage or cancel your subscription
In Final Cut Pro for iPad, tap in the upper-left corner of the Projects screen.
Tap Account.
Do any of the following:
Modify your subscription plan: Tap Manage Subscriptions, tap a different subscription option (monthly or yearly), then follow the onscreen instructions.
Cancel your subscription: Tap Manage Subscriptions, tap Cancel Subscription to end your free trial or paid subscription, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Change or update your payment method: Tap Manage Payment Method, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Restore an active subscription: If you have a Final Cut Pro for iPad subscription, but one of your iPad devices doesn’t recognize it, tap Restore Purchase, then follow the onscreen instructions.
If you cancel your subscription, you’ll continue to have full access to all Final Cut Pro for iPad features until the end of your billing period. After your billing period ends, you’ll still be able to preview your projects in the Projects screen and export projects and their source media, but all other functionality will be limited until you resubscribe.
Resubscribe to Final Cut Pro for iPad
If you previously canceled your subscription to Final Cut Pro for iPad, you can subscribe again at any time.
In the Projects screen, do one of the following:
Tap Subscribe to Create Project in the lower-left corner of the screen, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Tap Subscribe to Edit under the video preview area (available when you’ve already imported at least one project), then follow the onscreen instructions.
Tap in the upper-left corner of the screen, tap Account, tap Subscribe to Final Cut Pro, then follow the onscreen instructions.
