Browse your network for an AVB device using Audio MIDI Setup
Connect an AVB (audio video bridging) device to your Ethernet network and use the Network Device Browser in Audio MIDI Setup to browse for it.
When you select the device, the Network Device Browser displays its capabilities, such as audio, video, and MIDI. The device appears in the Audio Device list in Audio MIDI Setup, and can be set up like any other device in the list.
Open Audio MIDI Setup, then choose Window > Show Network Device Browser.
Click Assist Me if AVB isn’t enabled. Make sure the AVB/EAV Mode checkbox is selected in the Hardware pane of Advanced Ethernet preferences. If the checkbox is dimmed, click the Configure pop-up menu, choose Manually, then select the checkbox. Click OK, then click Apply.
Select the device you want to use.
Only one computer at a time can connect to an AVB device. Deselect the checkbox in the Network Device Browser to disconnect the device.
