Format fractions automatically in Numbers on Mac
You can set Numbers to automatically format fractions as you type them. The setting doesn’t apply to fractions you type in table cells or comments.
Go to the Numbers app on your Mac.
Open a spreadsheet, then choose Numbers > Settings (from the Numbers menu at the top of your screen).
Click Auto-Correction at the top of the settings window.
In the Formatting section, select the ‘Automatically format fractions’ tick box.
Type a fraction (for example, 1/2), then press the Space bar and keep typing, or press Return.
The setting applies to text you type from now on — it doesn’t change fractions you’ve already typed.
Thanks for your feedback.
