Connect Logic Remote on iPad
The first time you open Logic Remote, you’re prompted to connect to a Mac that's running GarageBand, Logic Pro or MainStage. You can connect via Wi-Fi or using a USB-C or Lightning cable.
Connect to Logic Remote via Wi-Fi
Make sure the Mac and the iPad are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Open Logic Remote on the device.
A connection dialog appears on the iPad, showing Mac computers that are on the same Wi-Fi network as the iPad and on which the Mac application (Logic Pro, GarageBand or MainStage) is open.
Choose the Mac you want to connect to.
An alert appears in the application on the Mac, asking you to accept the connection.
Click Connect to confirm and establish the connection.
Any subsequent connections with the same device should happen automatically.
Connect to Logic Remote using a USB-C or Lightning cable
Connect the USB-C or Lightning cable to both the Mac and the iPad.
Open Logic Remote on the device.
A connection dialogue appears on the iPad showing the connected Mac computer. If Wi-Fi is turned on, the dialog also shows computers that are on the same Wi-Fi network and on which the Mac application (Logic Pro, GarageBand or MainStage) is open.
Choose the Mac you want to connect to.
An alert appears in the application on the Mac, asking you to accept the connection.
Click Connect to confirm and establish the connection.
Any subsequent connections with the same device should happen automatically.
If you experience Wi-Fi dropouts
Try any of the following:
Position the Mac and the iPad for optimal network performance.
Turn off Wi-Fi on the device, then turn it back on again.
Connect to Logic Remote using a Lightning cable.
