Set up iCloud Passwords on your Windows computer
After you set up iCloud for Windows, you can use iCloud Passwords to access your passwords in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge using a browser extension. You can also manage your passwords in the iCloud Passwords app.
Note: When you enable the iCloud Passwords browser extension, the browser’s built-in password-saving feature is turned off.
Requirements to set up iCloud Passwords
Your account must have two-factor authentication turned on. See the Apple Support article Two-factor authentication for Apple Account.
The device receiving the security code must have iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS 11 or later.
Either Advanced Data Protection for iCloud must be turned on or your Apple device must be within Bluetooth® range of your Windows PC.
Set up iCloud Passwords
On your Windows computer, open iCloud for Windows.
Do one of the following:
To the right of Passwords and Keychain, click , then turn on Passwords & Keychain.
Below Passwords and Keychain, click Approve, then enter the code sent to a trusted device or phone number (or use a security key).
You can manage your passwords in the iCloud Passwords app.
Install extensions for web browsers
On your Windows computer, open iCloud for Windows.
To the right of Passwords and Keychain, click .
Click Install Extension next to the browser’s name, then follow the on-screen instructions.
Click Done.
