Print images and PDF documents in ColorSync Utility on Mac
When printing an image or a PDF document with ColorSync Utility, you can choose advanced options for managing the document’s colours.
Go to the ColorSync Utility app
on your Mac.
Choose File > Open, then select an image or PDF document.
When the file opens, choose File > Print, then click
next to ColorSync Utility to show the options (if they’re not already showing).
Click the Colour pop-up menu, then choose an option:
Prematch to printer profile: Controls the colour management of the printed output.
Hand off to printer: Lets the printer control the colour management of the printed output.
Print as colour target: Prints the document without any colour management. This option is available only if the document uses the same colour space as the printer — for example, when printing an RGB document on an RGB printer.
If you chose “Prematch to printer profile”, click the Intent pop-up menu, then choose an option, such as perceptual, colourimetric or saturation. See Set colour printing options.
Click Print.
