Change VoiceOver Verbosity settings (Coding tab) in VoiceOver Utility on Mac
Use the Coding tab of the Verbosity category in VoiceOver Utility to customize how VoiceOver announces code and debugging information in your code editor.
To open VoiceOver Utility, press Command-F5 to turn VoiceOver on, then press VO-Fn-F8.
To navigate the different tabs in Verbosity, press the Left Arrow or Right Arrow key after you hear “Verbosity” until you hear the setting you want to edit—like Coding.
Note: VO represents the VoiceOver modifier that you press with additional keys to enter VoiceOver commands. By default, you can press Control and Option together or just press Caps Lock.
Option | Description |

Announce line numbers | Choose Always, Never, or When Jumping. |
When encountering errors | Choose Play Tone, Speak Text, or Do Nothing. |
When encountering warnings | Choose Play Tone, Speak Text, or Do Nothing. |
When encountering breakpoints | Choose Play Tone, Speak Text, or Do Nothing. |
When encountering the program counter | Choose Play Tone, Speak Text, or Do Nothing. |
