Add and remove users in Public Site Manager
You can add additional users to help you manage, create, edit, and customize your site, then remove users you no longer want managing or editing your site.
Add additional users
In Public Site Manager , click Users, then click Add a User.
Enter an Apple ID for a user, then choose:
Administrator. Administrators can manage and modify your site. In addition, administrators can sign in to iTunes U as instructors and create and edit courses.
Contributor. Contributors can use the Courses view to add and manage courses they own in iTunes U. In addition, contributors can sign in to iTunes U as instructors and create and edit courses.
If you want a contributor to access iTunes U to create courses, you must enter a valid Apple ID and create an instructor profile for each Apple ID in iTunes U on iOS or web. An Apple ID is valid if it was previously used to sign in to iTunes Store, Apple Books, or App Store. See Sign in with your Apple ID.
All users must have a valid Apple ID. Users with an existing account at Apple (iTunes Store, App Store, iCloud, the Apple Online Store, Managed Apple ID) can use the same Apple ID, or can create a new account at https://appleid.apple.com.
Click Add.
For user privacy, when you add a new user to your site, iTunes U Public Site Manager displays n/a in place of the user’s first name and last name in the Other Accounts table. Once the user signs in to your site, iTunes U Public Site Manager replaces n/a with the first name and last name associated with the user’s Apple ID.
Apple recommends all users sign in with their own individual Apple ID account. If a user is idle for 20 minutes, iTunes U Public Site Manager automatically signs out the user. If you have trouble signing in to your site, wait at least 20 minutes and try again.
Note: To add a Managed Apple ID user, both the Managed Apple ID and the site must be associated with the same managed organization.
Remove a user
In Public Site Manager , click Users, click the Apple ID for the user you want to remove, then click Remove.
iTunes U Public Site Manager removes the user from your site.
To remove a contributor with access to iTunes U, you must first delete all courses associated with the contributor.
