Intro to iCloud Keychain and iCloud Passwords
When you turn on iCloud Keychain, you can securely store important information—like passwords—in iCloud, and access them on any device you approve.
Store passwords and more in iCloud Keychain
You can use iCloud Keychain on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, to securely store the following information:
Safari usernames and passwords
Credit card numbers and expiration dates
Wi-Fi passwords
The accounts you use in Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Messages
iCloud Keychain uses industry-standard technologies, like end-to-end encryption, to keep your information secure. For more details, see the Apple Support article iCloud security overview.
Use iCloud Keychain with Safari
When you use Safari to sign in to a website or make a purchase, you can store the account credentials or credit card information in iCloud Keychain. And if you turn on AutoFill, Safari automatically fills in the information the next time you need it.
iCloud Keychain can also suggest strong and unique passwords when you create a new account on a website.
Access Safari passwords on Windows
If you have a Windows computer, you can use iCloud Passwords to access your Safari passwords in Chrome. When you update a password or create a new one, those passwords stay up to date on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac with iCloud Keychain turned on.
