Get to know your ports
Your Mac Studio comes with two USB-A ports, four Thunderbolt 5 ports, a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port, and an HDMI port on the back. On the front you have two USB 3 ports, if you have Mac Studio with M5 Max, or two Thunderbolt 5 ports, if you have Mac Studio with M5 Ultra.
Connect an accessory to your Mac Studio. You can connect an accessory, like a mouse, a storage device, or printer, to any of the USB 3 or Thunderbolt ports on the front or back of your Mac Studio, as well as to the USB-A ports on the back.
If you’re connecting an accessory that doesn’t have a USB or USB-C connector, you need an adapter. See Adapters and cables for your Mac Studio.
Connect a display to your Mac Studio. You can connect an external display, as well as a projector or HDTV to any of the Thunderbolt 5 ports or the HDMI port on the back of your Mac Studio. On Mac Studio with M5 Ultra, you can also connect a display to the Thunderbolt 5 ports on the front.
Mac Studio with M5 Ultra can support up to eight displays and Mac Studio with M5 Max can support up to five displays. For some configurations, including connecting a total of eight displays, you need to connect two displays on a single cable in a “daisy chain” or connect them to a Thunderbolt dock.

Connect your Mac Studio to Ethernet or transfer files between computers using the Ethernet port. You can connect a router or modem, or connect to another computer to quickly transfer files, to the 10 Gigabit Ethernet port on the back of your Mac Studio.
