Use an ExpressCard with Mac
If you have a portable computer with an ExpressCard/34 slot, you can expand your computer’s capabilities with 34 mm ExpressCards. You can connect a cellular wireless card, flash memory cards, and more.
Insert an ExpressCard: When your computer is on, off, or in sleep, slide the card (facing up, so you can see the label) into the slot until it clicks into place. You’ll feel some resistance as you slide it in.
Eject an ExpressCard when your computer is turned on: Drag the card’s icon to the Trash. Then gently push the card to activate the spring, and pull the card out of the slot.
Eject an ExpressCard when your computer is shut off: Gently push the card to activate the spring, then pull the card out of the slot.
