iPhone Duo Enclosure
Before You Begin
Caution
This procedure requires System Configuration. After you’ve completed all removal and reassembly steps, follow the instructions to initiate System Configuration.
Tools
Refer to a full list of tools required for all repairs.
Important
Order the correct color enclosure for the iPhone.
Removal
Remove the following parts from the back glass side and outer display side of the iPhone.
Back glass side
Important
Save the back glass, FaceTime camera, camera, and logic board for reassembly. It's recommended to install a new battery.
Outer display side
Important
Save the outer display, outer front camera, and I/O board for reassembly. It's recommended to install a new battery.
Be careful when removing the inner display. The removal process requires a high level of precision to complete. If the inner display is damaged during removal, complete the repair with a new inner display.
Reassembly
Remove all adhesive liners and release liners from the replacement enclosure.
Clean all residual adhesive from the back glass and outer display before reinstalling these parts.
Reinstall the following parts in the replacement enclosure in the order listed.
