Removal

Note: If you’ve already completed the removal steps, skip to reassembly.

Important

Complete back glass removal steps 1 through 6. Then continue to step 1.

  1. Use a torque driver and crosshead bit to remove four crosshead screws from the bottom speaker and two crosshead screws from the Taptic Engine. Then complete the entire step before continuing to the next step.

    •  Caution: Note the orientation of the grounding clip and ensure that the clip doesn't get lost.

    • Remove the bottom speaker.

  2. Use a torque driver and the trilobe bit to remove three trilobe screws from the lower antenna flex cable. Then complete the entire step before continuing.

    • Lift the end of the lower antenna flex cable off the connector.

    • Peel back the lower antenna flex cable to access the Taptic Engine.

      • Caution: Carefully peel the flex cable, as the adhesive is strong and could damage the flex cable.

    • Lift the end of the Taptic Engine flex cable off the connector.

    • Remove the Taptic Engine from the enclosure. Note the Taptic Engine flex cable routing for reassembly.
