What’s new in VoiceOver on Mac
With new features in macOS 27, you have greater control when you use VoiceOver on a Mac.
You can now turn off announcements that webpages send automatically, such as live scores, new messages, or status updates. Turn off Enable Web Announcements to silence announcements from a single area of a webpage or from the entire page. VoiceOver remembers your choice for that website, so the area stays silent the next time you visit.
See Use VoiceOver to turn Web Announcements on or off on Mac
With the new Coding tab in the Verbosity category of VoiceOver Utility, you can choose whether VoiceOver announces line numbers, and whether it plays a tone or speaks a description when it encounters an error, a breakpoint, or the program counter.
