Add automations to Shortcuts on Mac
You can add automations to shortcuts so they run automatically when a trigger, such a specific time of day or a notification is received.
Add an automation trigger to a shortcut
In the Shortcuts app
on your Mac, do one the following:
Click an existing shortcut or create a new shortcut.
Click Edit, then Automation. Choose a trigger, such as Time of Day or Arrive.
To allow a shortcut to run without user interaction, see Enable an automation to run without asking, below.
Remove an automation trigger from a shortcut
You can remove the automation trigger from your shortcut so it no longer runs automatically.
In the Shortcuts app
Choose your automation trigger, such as Time of Day or Arrive, and remove it.
Filter shortcuts with automations
You can view a list of your enabled and disabled shortcuts that include an automation.
In the Shortcuts app
To filter by Turned On or Turned Off, Click

Enable an automation to run without asking
Some personal automations can run without asking you for confirmation when they’re triggered.
In the Shortcuts app
on your Mac, click an existing shortcut.
Click Edit, then
.
Click Privacy then enable Allow Running When Locked.
The automation will not notify you when it’s triggered.

Leave
CarPlay
Email
Message
Transaction
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Apple Watch Workout
NFC
App
Airplane Mode
Do Not Disturb
Low Power Mode

Note: You also may need to set individual actions to run automatically.
