Share a calendar on iCloud.com
You can share calendars publicly and privately. In the sidebar, a shared calendar appears with a Shared icon .
To use Calendar on iCloud.com, you must be on a tablet or computer. If you’re on a tablet or computer and don’t see Calendar on iCloud.com, your account is limited to iCloud web-only features. See Get more iCloud features.
Share a calendar privately
When you share a calendar privately, participants must have an Apple Account and use iCloud in order to use the calendar.
Only the calendar’s owner can share a private calendar.
Go to icloud.com/calendar, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Tap to the right of the calendar’s name in the sidebar.
If you don’t see the sidebar, tap below the calendar.
In Sharing With, tap , type the invitee’s email address in the Add Person field, then tap Return or Enter.
You can add multiple people at a time by adding a comma or tapping Return or Enter after each address.
Tap , then choose access privileges:
Allow editing: Allows the invitee to create, edit, and delete events, and track invitation responses.
Read-Only: Allows the invitee to view, but not edit, the calendar.
For each person you want to share the calendar with, repeat steps 2 and 3.
When you’re finished adding invitees and setting their privileges, tap Done, then tap Save.
Invitation emails are sent from your iCloud email address to the participants you specified. If you want to change the email address use to send invitations, see Invite people to a calendar event on iCloud.com.
Share a calendar publicly
When you share a calendar publicly, your invitees automatically receive an email that includes the calendar URL. An invitee doesn’t need to be an iCloud user to accept an invitation to view a shared public calendar.
Only the calendar’s owner can make changes to a public calendar.
Go to icloud.com/calendar, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Tap to the right of the calendar’s name in the sidebar.
If you don’t see the sidebar, tap below the calendar.
Tap Public Calendar, then do either of the following:
Share the calendar by email: Tap Email, type one or more email address in the To field, then tap Send.
Share the calendar with a link: Tap Copy, then paste the link where you want to share it—for example, in a text message.
See who you’re sharing a calendar with
When you share a calendar, you can see if the people you invited have accepted or declined the invitation, or have yet to respond. Everyone who is a participant in the calendar can track responses.
Go to icloud.com/calendar, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Tap to the right of the calendar’s name in the sidebar.
If you don’t see the sidebar, tap below the calendar.
View the icon next to the name of each invitee:

The invitee has joined as a participant.
The invitee declined the invitation.
The invitee hasn’t responded yet to the invitation.
Resend an invitation to a shared calendar
If you want to encourage your invitees to respond to an invitation, you can resend invitations to a participant at any time.
Go to icloud.com/calendar, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Tap to the right of the calendar’s name in the sidebar.
If you don’t see the sidebar, tap below the calendar.
Do any of the following:
Resend an invitation to a private calendar: Tap next to the invitee’s name, then choose Invite Again.
Resend an invitation to a public calendar: Tap Email, type the participant’s email address in the To field, then tap Send.
Receive Shared Calendar updates and invitations as in-app notifications or emails
You can specify how you want to receive Shared Calendar updates and invitations—either as in-app notifications or via email.
Go to icloud.com/calendar, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
Tap at the top of the sidebar, then choose Settings.
Tap Account, then choose how you want to receive Shared Calendar updates and invitations:
Receive via In-App Notifications: Updates and invitations appear as notifications in Calendar on iCloud.com. Tap in the sidebar, then tap a notification to view or reply to it.
Receive via Email: If you’re the owner of the shared calendar, updates and invitations are sent to the email address that you use to send invitations from. If you’re invited to a shared calendar, updates and invitations are sent to the email address used to invite you to the calendar.
When you receive a shared calendar invitation or update by email, you can reply directly in the email.
