Convert a selection to a mask in Pixelmator Pro on iPad

You can convert any selection into a mask, hiding the areas outside it while keeping the original layer intact.

In Pixelmator Pro on iPad, select a layer in the Layers sidebar.
Make a selection in the canvas.
Tap in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen, then choose Select and Mask.
The selection is converted to a mask. Areas hidden by the mask have a yellow overlay.
Use the controls in the Select and Mask pane to refine the selection.
Tap Output, then choose one of the following:
- Mask: Adds a mask to the selected layer.
- New Layer with Mask: Duplicates the selected layer with the new mask.
Tap Apply.
