Other effects in Pixelmator Pro on Mac
The Other category of effects in Pixelmator Pro includes effects for advanced image correction and compositing techniques:
Perspective Transform reshapes a layer to correct lens distortion or create a realistic perspective change.
Mask to Alpha converts images to black and white while adding transparency to dark areas for compositing work.
High Pass isolates edges and fine detail by turning uniform areas neutral gray. Contrast is preserved in the edges and detail, increasing perceived sharpness.
Low Pass smooths textures and removes noise, ideal for portrait retouching and skin smoothing.
Frequency Separation separates fine details (high frequency) from colors and tones (low frequency), combining High Pass and Low Pass effects and enabling independent control over texture and color information.
