Remove personal information from your Apple Vision Pro and prepare it for a new owner.
Cancel or transfer AppleCare coverage
If your Apple Vision Pro is covered by an AppleCare plan, you can cancel that plan or transfer it to the new owner.
Back up your Apple Vision Pro
iCloud Backup includes all the information and settings stored on your device that don't already sync to iCloud.
In Settings, tap your name > iCloud > iCloud Backup.
Turn on iCloud Backup.
To perform a manual backup, tap Backup Now.

Reset your Apple Vision Pro to factory settings
To get your Apple Vision Pro ready for a new owner, remove Activation Lock and erase your personal information.
Remove Activation Lock
To remove Activation Lock, sign out of your Apple ID:
In Settings, tap your name.
Scroll down and tap Sign Out.
Enter your Apple ID password, then tap Turn Off.
Erase your Apple Vision Pro
In Settings, tap General > Transfer or Reset This Apple Vision Pro.
To transfer your content and settings to a new Vision Pro, tap Get Started and follow the onscreen instructions. Then return to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset This Apple Vision Pro.
Tap Erase All Content and Settings.

If you no longer have your Apple Vision Pro
Ask the new owner to follow the steps to erase your Apple Vision Pro.
If you can't follow either of these steps:
Your personal information won’t be erased from the device, but the new owner won't be able to delete your information from iCloud.
