iOS (Japan): Incoming MMS message is received as group MMS message


You may find that after sending an MMS message, the response you receive is a group message.


Follow these steps if you're experiencing this issue:

  1. Go to Settings > Messages.
  2. Delete an email address from the MMS Email Address field.
  3. Tap the Home button
  4. Go to Settings > Messages.
  5. Enter the MMS email address in the MMS Email Address field. Do not copy and paste the email address.

If you're still experiencing this issue after performing the steps above, contact Apple support for further assistance.
