Logic Pro 9: Projects may not open from the finder

Symptoms

If you double-click a Logic project or choose Open With > Logic Pro from the shortcut menu in the Finder when Logic Pro 9 is not open, Logic Pro 9 will open but the project may not.

Resolution

It is recommended that you update to the latest version of Logic Pro 9 to resolve this issue.

To update using Software Update:

  1. Choose Apple () > Software Update...
  2. Click Show Details.
  3. Make sure the Logic Pro update is checked.
  4. Click Install.

To update manually:

  1. Click this link. 
  2. Click the download link for the latest version of Logic Pro 9. The installer will open automatically after it downloads.
  3. Click Continue in the installer dialog and follow the onscreen instructions.
