The following message may appear on your iPhone:

"Your SMS mailbox is full. New messages cannot be received until you delete some messages."

Resolution

Verify that you have updated to iOS 5.0.1 or later.

Additional Information

If you have updated to iOS 5.0.1 or later and are still receiving these alerts, you will need to delete some existing conversations or messages:

  1. Delete message conversation threads by swiping left or right over a conversation and tapping Delete.
  2. Restart your iPhone.
