For renting and viewing directly from Apple TV, iPhone 4, iPad, or iPod touch (4th generation)

  • Widescreen format
    • Resolution: 720 x up to 480 pixels (Movies are encoded anamorphically to increase the quality of the picture)
    • Audio: Stereo (some include Dolby Pro-Logic II Surround)
  • Many movies are available in HD (High Definition)
    • Resolution: 1280 x up to 720 pixels
    • Audio: Dolby Digital Surround 5.1 and stereo (some include Dolby Pro-Logic II Surround)

Note: Rentals from iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation), or Apple TV are not transferable to any other device. You must watch the rental on that device.

For renting from a computer and viewing on a computer, iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV

  • iTunes format
    • Resolution: 640 x up to 480 pixels (Movies are encoded anamorphically to increase the quality of the picture)
    • Audio: Stereo (some include Dolby Pro-Logic II Surround)
