Automatic color processing
One of three Color Processing settings (in the Project Properties Inspector) in Motion. Choose Automatic for projects that mix HDR media, SDR media, and text, shapes, and other objects created in Motion.
Automatic uses tone mapping to adjust the elements in your project (clips, images, and objects) to better match your project’s Render Color Space setting. When Render Color Space (in the View pull-down menu) is set to an HDR option, Automatic boosts the luminance of SDR media in your project; when Render Color Space is set to an SDR option, Automatic reduces the luminance of HDR media in your project. As a result, SDR and HDR elements are integrated in your project and have similar levels of brightness. You can further adjust the brightness of SDR elements using the HDR White Level slider in the Project Properties Inspector.
The other two Color Processing settings in Motion are Standard Gamut SDR and Wide Gamut HDR.
