Assign roles in Apple School Manager
Roles are location based. This means that an account can be assigned an instructor role in one location but be assigned a manager role in another location.
WARNING: If an administrator, manager, or instructor is also assigned a student role, they will be unable to buy apps and books.
Accounts can have several roles assigned to them. It’s a good idea to plan role assignments before assigning any roles.
Edit the role for a user
In Apple School Manager
, tap Accounts in the sidebar.Search for an account in the Search Accounts field, then select the account you want to change.
Tap Edit
, select a role and location, then tap Save.
Edit the role for multiple users
In Apple School Manager
, tap Accounts in the sidebar.Tap Filter
in the Search bar if you want to choose additional fields to filter your search results.Tap in the Search Accounts field above the Search bar, then enter your search criteria.
Select the accounts you want to edit.
Tap Edit in the Account Info
row, then tap Add.Change the role and location, then tap Continue.
Do one of the following:
Tap Activity to view this activity.
Tap Done.
