Screen sharing type options on Mac
When you create a new screen sharing connection on your Mac, choose Standard or High Performance screen sharing. If you choose High Performance, you can also choose one or two virtual displays.
Screen sharing type settings

---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Screen Sharing Type | The type of screen sharing.

Display Type | The number of virtual displays. This option is only available with High Performance screen sharing. |
Requirements and limitations for High Performance
Keep the following in mind when using High Performance screen sharing:
High Performance requires high network bandwidth (75 megabits per second for a single 4K display) and consistent low network latency.
A wired network connection is recommended.
Both Mac computers must be able to communicate with each other over UDP ports 5900, 5901 and 5902.
Only one High Performance screen sharing session can be active on each Mac at a time.
The maximum screen size supported on a virtual display is 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels or 1920 x 1080 HiDPI).
To support HDR video reference mode, you must choose the HDR Video (P3-ST 2084) preset in Displays settings. See Use the Preset menu in Displays settings.
