Jog wheel

An onscreen dial you can drag to move the playhead incrementally or to nudge timeline clips, edit points, and keyframes with precision.

To show or hide the jog wheel in Final Cut Pro for iPad:

  1. Open a project.

  2. Do any of the following:

    • Open the jog wheel: Tap the More button at the right side of the toolbar, tap Jog Wheel, then tap the Expand Jog Wheel button on the side of the screen to expand the jog wheel.

    • Collapse the jog wheel: Tap the Close button in the center of the expanded jog wheel.

    • Hide the jog wheel: Tap the More button at the right side of the toolbar, then tap Jog Wheel (so there’s no longer a checkmark next to it).

    • Reposition the jog wheel: Drag the handle at the top of the collapsed jog wheel to move it to either side of the screen.
