Transfer your eSIM from Android to iPhone
If you are transferring an eSIM from a non-Apple smartphone to an iPhone, you may need to contact your network provider to have them transfer your eSIM either by eSIM Carrier Activation or by providing a QR code. Find out more about setting up your iPhone with eSIM.
With iOS 26, some network providers and selected smartphone manufacturers support transferring your SIM from Android to iPhone, or vice versa. To transfer your SIM from Android to iPhone, follow the instructions below. If your network provider or device doesn’t support the iOS 26 feature to transfer your eSIM from Android to iPhone, contact your network provider to activate your eSIM.
What you need
A supported network provider (USA: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Germany: Telekom)
An iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max or later with iOS 26
A compatible Android smartphone with Android 16 or later. To check if your Android device is compatible, check with your smartphone manufacturer.
Your iPhone and Android smartphone must be connected to a Wi-Fi network and have Bluetooth enabled.
Transfer your eSIM from Android to iPhone
After setting up your new iPhone, transfer your phone number from your Android smartphone to iPhone.
Before you start, place your phones next to each other so you can see the prompts from both devices.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Set Up Cellular and tap Transfer from Android. If you already have another SIM on your iPhone, you will go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM and tap Transfer from Android.
Tap Transfer From Android. A QR code will be generated. If you cannot scan the QR code on your iPhone, see Use Other Options if you can’t scan the iPhone QR code. Otherwise, continue to step 3.
Use your Android camera to scan the QR code on your iPhone.
On your Android, select the phone number you want to transfer and tap Transfer.
If asked, tap Yes to use the transferred SIM as your primary eSIM.
When the transfer is complete, tap Done on your iPhone and tap OK.
Make a phone call on your iPhone to check its mobile connectivity. If you can’t make a call, contact your network provider.
After your eSIM has been transferred to your new iPhone, the SIM on your Android will be deactivated.
Use Other Options if you can’t scan the iPhone QR code
On your iPhone, select Other Options under the QR code.
On your Android, go to Google services > All services and tap Pair with iPhone or iPad.
Select Transfer eSIM.
On your Android, enter the session ID, enter the pairing code that is displayed on your iPhone and tap Next.
On your Android, select the phone number you want to transfer and tap Transfer.
If asked, tap Yes to use the transferred SIM as your primary eSIM.
When the transfer is complete, tap Done on your iPhone and tap OK.
Make a phone call on your iPhone to check its mobile connectivity. If you can’t make a call, contact your network provider.
After your eSIM has been transferred to your new iPhone, the SIM on your Android will be deactivated.
