Color space

The range of reproducible color in a digital image, video, or display (also known as color gamut). Final Cut Camera records high-dynamic-range (HDR) video with HLG in the Rec. 2020 color space and standard-dynamic-range (SDR) video in the Rec. 709 color space. SDR (Rec. 709) is a decades-old industry standard intended for traditional computer displays and HDTVs. HDR (HLG) supports extra levels of brightness in each color component (red, green, and blue) in a way that reproduces how the human eye sees contrast. To view HDR (HLG) content, you must have a device that supports HLG, such as a newer Mac, iPhone, iPad Pro, or display.
