Delete apps on your iPhone or iPad
Learn how to delete apps from your iPhone or iPad, what to do before you delete an app, and what to check if you don't see the option to delete an app.
Before you get started
Cancel any in-app subscriptions that you don't need. If you delete an app, it doesn’t automatically cancel in-app subscriptions.
Find the app you want to delete. If you can't find the app, use Spotlight to search for it. You can delete apps from Spotlight.
How to delete an app
Touch and hold the app.
Tap .

Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm.
If you touch and hold an app and the apps start to jiggle
Tap in the upper-left corner of the app.

Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm.

If you don't see the option to delete an app
Some built-in Apple apps can't be deleted from your iPhone or iPad. Here’s a list of built-in Apple apps you can delete from your device. If you can't delete an app that's not made by Apple, check your parental control settings. Make sure Deleting Apps is set to Allow, then try deleting the app again.
If your device is managed by a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, you may not be able to delete apps. Contact your device administrator for help.
