iCloud: Access your photos and videos on iCloud.com
View your photos and video
Do one of the following:
Click Photos in the sidebar to see all of your photos and videos grouped by time and location.
Note: If you don’t see the sidebar, use the Photos and Albums buttons in the toolbar to access your photos.
Click an album or folder in the sidebar to view its contents.
To view a photo or video full screen, double-click one.
While viewing a photo full screen, you can click the thumbnails at the bottom of the iCloud Photo Library window to see other photos. You can also press the arrow keys to move to other photos.
Add new photos
Click the Upload button , then select the photos you want to add from your Mac or Windows computer.
Note: Photos must be in JPEG format to be uploaded from your Mac or Windows computer.
Click Choose to upload them to iCloud Photo Library.
Email photos and videos
To send photos and videos from iCloud Photo Library by email, you need an iCloud Mail account. To learn more, see Set up an @icloud.com email address.
Open an album or folder to select the photos and videos you want to email, or double-click a single photo or video.
Click the Share button , then choose Mail.
A new email window opens with your photos or videos attached.
Add recipients and an optional subject and message, then click Send in the upper-right corner of the email window.
Photos uses your iCloud email account to send photos and videos. Attachments are limited in size to a total of 20 MB per email.
Note: If you send an email with large photos and videos attached, it might be returned by the recipient’s email service because your email exceeds the size limit set by that email service. You can try sending the photos and videos in multiple email messages. To learn more, see Add an attachment to an email.
Download photos or videos to your computer
Open an album or folder, then select the photos or videos you want to download, or double-click a single photo or video.
Click the Download button to download the most compatible version of the photo or video.
The most compatible version will be in a standard file format, JPEG for photos and MP4/H.264 for videos. This version will also include edits made to the photo or video since it was added to your iCloud Photo Library.
If you want to download the original version of the photo or video, click and hold the Download button , select Unmodified Original, then click Download. The unmodified original version will be the same file format that was originally captured or imported and will not include any edits.
Whichever version of the photo or video you download is saved in the Downloads folder on your computer (or other folder specified in your web browser’s preference or options settings).
Delete photos or videos
Open an album or folder to select the photos or videos you want to delete, or double-click a single photo or video.
Click the Delete button .
Deleted photos and videos are placed in the Recently Deleted album, where they remain for 30 days. After that time, items are permanently removed from all your devices set up for iCloud Photo Library.
You can remove items from your iOS device or Mac before the 30-day time period is up. For instructions on removing them from your iOS device, see Use iCloud Photo Library on your iOS device. Recover deleted photos and videos
You can recover photos and videos you deleted in the last 30 days on either iCloud.com or any iOS device or computer that has iCloud Photo Library turned on.
Click the Recently Deleted album in the sidebar to view its contents.
Select the photos or videos you want to recover, then click Recover.
