04/03/2016 Open iTunes on your Mac or PC. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to your computer with the cable that came with your device. If a message asks for your device passcode or to Trust This Computer, follow the onscreen steps. If you forgot your passcode, get help. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod when it appears in iTunes. In the Summary panel, click Restore [device]. Click Restore again to confirm. Then iTunes erases your device and installs the latest iOS or iPod software. 19/04/2016 When iTunes on your computer doesn't recognize your connected device, follow these steps. Try again after each step: Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes that works with your computer. Check that you have the latest software on your Mac or Windows PC. Make sure that your device is turned on. If you see a Trust this Computer alert, unlock your device and tap Trust. If you still see the alert, you might need to reset your lockdown folder. Unplug all USB accessories from your computer except for your device. Try each USB port to see if one works. Then try a different Apple USB cable. Restart your computer and iPhone, iPad, or iPod. To see if your device needs service, try another computer. If you have the same issue again, contact Apple Support. Putting iPod into Disk Mode
Before placing the iPod into Disk Mode, verify that it has a charge.
Reset the device by pressing the Sleep and Home buttons simultaneously until the display shows the Apple logo. This should take about eight seconds.
When the Apple logo appears, press and hold the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the device enters Disk Mode.
Charge your iPod battery

05/05/2016 If you have these issues with your iPod, follow these steps: Connect your iPod to your computer with a USB cable. Put your iPod into Disk Mode. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time until you see a message that says Do not disconnect. Learn more about Disk Mode. Find your device in iTunes. If you're able to find your device in iTunes, you might need to restore it in order to get it to turn on properly. If you see a message that says the volume can't be mounted and asks if you want to initialize the disk, choose to initialize the iPod disk. How do I fix my iPod mini which sounds like it is under water?
09/04/2016I've looked for answers to this question and so far the only one I've found says, "Have been to a technician. it cannot be repaired" - Anonymous87 which I can't believe. If Apple can't figure it out, and that question was asked directly to Apple in 2007, and the iPod was sent to an Apple tech to fix, then I have a really low opinion of Apple's ability to make a dependable device and I'll think 5 or 6 times before I buy another Apple device. 10/02/2016Hello, I have my music list on my itouch gen 2 and want to sync to an ipad mini 2. My itunes do not have any music in the playlist. When I plug in my ipod touch, itunes doesn't ask if I want to import my music list to itunes. How to sync from itouch to itunes than ipad mini2? Is it possible to go from ios 5 to ios9 syncing music?
