Q: Safari History, Cookies, Auto Fill Questions
Jan 19, 2017This is on a MacBook Pro Late 2016 Sierra: 1. Would love to delete all history every time I close Safari--that choice does not seem to be offered? 2. Where are the Cookies kept? 3. Auto Fill seems to be a real mess at this point. It won't auto fill anything. Pointing to solutions is great for me... otherwise I may just look around and fume a little and move on. I'll go look for Auto Fill/Auto-Fill/Autofill a little now. Thank you.https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7832152?language=en

Q: Safari doesn't save cookies
Dec 23, 2016I'm at a loss as to why Safari seemingly ignores my cookies every time I quit and re-open the app. I'm using macOS Sierra 10.12.2 with Safari 10.0.2 on an almost entirely clean install (just bought a new MacBook Pro two weeks ago). The scenarios typically go like this: Open a new instance of Safari Open a site like trycaviar.com Observe that the site does not think I'm logged in Log into the site For the duration of the Safari instance (i.e., as long as I don't quit the app), the sitehttps://discussions.apple.com/thread/7794999?language=en
Q: prompt to accept cookies
Jan 16, 2017In the past, I believe with Safari I was able to choose a setting that prompted me each time a website wanted to set cookies. It doesn't look as if this option is available anymore. How is it possible for me to say 'no' to some websites and 'yes' to others? I am using Safari Version 10.0.2 (11602.3.12.0.1).https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7828297?language=en
Q: Cannot remove cookies since Sierra update?
Jan 10, 2017I have been unable to remove cookies since updating to Sierra, even after the latest 10.12.2 update. My method beforehand was to Allow Cookies only from websites I visit, then I would manually erase my history and then cookies (command ,) in the Privacy -->Manage Website Data. This no longer works, and the cookies listed in the Manager will not erase after I try removing them manually. I have also erased my cache, and I still cannot remove the offending cookies. I do not want cookieshttps://discussions.apple.com/thread/7820820?language=en

Q: Anyone having problems deleting cookies?
Feb 15, 2017The "manage website data" tab in the privacy section of preferences won't show any cookies when I initially open it, but if I cancel the window and then re-open it, it then shows all of them. The problem is that no matter how I select any of them, induvidually or in multiples, it just deletes all of them. Is anyone else having this issue?https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7861315?language=en

Q: Safari always opens with "Welcome to Safari" screen. Home page not saved.
Jan 1, 2017After a clean reinstall of Yosemite on our mid-2010 iMac and an upgrade to Safari 8.0.2, my partner is greeted with the "Welcome To Safari" screen each time he launches Safari. In addition, his home page is not saved and the Favorites bar, which is set to be displayed by default, does not show. My own Safari experience is unaffected. Has anybody else experienced this and any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks in advance.https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6739443?language=en
Q: Safari crashing after update to Safari 10 on El capitan
Jan 14, 2017I just updated Safari through the App Store on El Capitan. Now it opens for about 10 seconds and crashes just as it starts loading the pages. I tried removing the new version of Safari with sudo and dropping in the last version (9.1.3) from a back up I made yesterday, but now that one behaves the same and crashes at start up. I cant even re-download Safari 10 in the App store because it seems to think I'm up to date. Even after deleting any Safari apps from my Applications folder. I put Sierrahttps://discussions.apple.com/thread/7675246?language=en
