StyleWriter II: Minimum Configuration For Use

This article describes how to configure a Macintosh with 1 MB of memory to print to a StyleWriter II.

A Macintosh with 1 MB RAM works with the StyleWriter II with this configuration only:
  • Minimum system software installation.
  • StyleWriter II Print Driver (only).
  • TrueType INIT only (no other INITs, control panels or other system additions).
  • Minimum fonts.
  • MultiFinder turned off.
  • RAM cache off.
  • Print color or grayscale images in black-and-white mode.

For optimum performance, Apple recommends a minimum of 2MB RAM.
