Boot Camp 2.0: Selecting the correct Apple Japanese (JIS) Keyboard type for Windows

When JIS (Japan Industry Standards) keyboard settings are correctly configured in Boot Camp 2.0 during installation, the left IME (Input Method Editor) key toggles IME mode, while the right IME key toggles Hiragana and Katakana. The IME keys are located directly to the left and right side of the space bar:

When installing Microsoft Windows, choose the "S" option when choosing the keyboard type:

Choose the "106 Japanese Keyboard (including USB)" option in this screen:


Once the proper keyboard selection is made, the additional keys to the left and right of the space bar (IME and Hiragana/Katakana) should function properly on both built-in and external keyboards.
