Manage databases stored by websites using Safari

Websites often store cookies and tracking information on your computer. Also, documents you create using websites, such as calendars or journals, are sometimes stored on your hard disk in the form of databases.

Using Safari, you can view the information websites have stored, and remove any items you no longer need.

Important: If you remove information stored by a website, the website may not be able to provide services it has provided in the past.
  1. Open Safari if it is not already open.
  2. Choose Safari > Preferences, and then click Privacy.
  3. To view a list of websites that store information on your computer, click Details.
  4. To remove websites and any information they have stored, select one or more websites and click Remove, or click Remove All.
