iCloud: Add or change a photo for a contact

Add or change a photo for a contact

In iCloud Contacts, you can add a photo to a contact that doesn’t have one, or change the photo of a contact that has one. The photo you add appears in other apps that share your iCloud Contacts information. Changes appear on every device that has the iCloud Contacts feature turned on.

  1. Select the contact whose photo you want to edit.

  2. Click the Edit button at the top of the contact card.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To add a new photo, click Add Photo and either drag a photo to the photo field or click Choose Photo, select an image file, then click Choose.

You can resize the photo by dragging the slider below the photo.

For information about photo file types and size limit, see the Apple Support article Limits for Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Bookmarks.

    • To change an existing photo, double-click the photo, then either drag a new photo to the photo field or click Choose Photo, select an image file, then click Choose.

You can resize the photo by dragging the slider below the photo.
