iCloud: offline

offline

An iOS device is offline if it’s turned off or not connected to a data network, such as EDGE, 3G, 4G, or Wi-Fi. A Mac is offline if it’s turned off or not connected to the Internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet. AirPods are offline if they’re out of battery life, in their case, or out of range from one of your iOS devices (AirPods are in range within about 33 feet (10 meters)).

If a device is offline (or if Find My iPhone is trying to connect to the device), a gray dot appears beside the device in the My Devices list.
