Contacts overview

Contacts makes it easy to stay in touch with your friends, family, and coworkers. It gives you one place to keep contact information for the people in your life—including phone numbers, addresses, birthdays, and more.

Add contacts

Enter contact information directly into Contacts or import it from an another computer or app. To add a new contact, click the Add button at the bottom of a card. When a friend moves or a phone number changes, you can update the information by selecting the contact and clicking Edit at the bottom-right. Learn more.

All your friends in one place

Contacts lets you access contact information from your Internet accounts—including iCloud, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Yahoo!—so you can manage all your contacts in one place. To add an account, choose Contacts > Add Account, then select the type of account you want to add. Learn more.

Use your contacts in every app

The Contacts app works seamlessly with other OS X apps, such as Mail, FaceTime, and Messages, to make it simple to find and contact friends. You can call, message, and email people directly from Contacts. And other OS X apps can access your Contacts information automatically. Learn more.

Reach many contacts at once

Organize your contacts into groups—your cycling group, co-workers, school friends, and so on—to make it easy to send group email and organize events. Learn more.
