OS X El Capitan: Privacy pane of Security & Privacy preferences
Use this pane to manage the information your Mac makes available to others across the Internet or on a network.
To open the pane, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click Privacy.
| Location Services | When you turn on Location Services, you allow apps and websites to use your Mac’s current location to provide information, services, and features appropriate to where you are. System Services allow the location of your Mac to be used by Spotlight or Spotlight Suggestions in Safari. For more information, see Manage which apps can use Location Services. |
| Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders | Shows the apps that want access to your contacts, calendars, or reminders. Deselect the app if you want to prevent it from accessing this information. |
| Accessibility | Shows apps that run scripts and system commands to control your Mac. Deselect the app if you want to prevent it from controlling your Mac. |
| Diagnostics & Usage | To help Apple serve customers better and improve the quality of Apple products, you can choose to automatically send diagnostic and usage information to Apple. For more information, see Report problems to Apple. |
| Other services | Shows apps that want to access the service. |
| Lock | Locks or unlocks Security & Privacy preferences. Click the lock icon |
