View iCloud notes in Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer

You can view your iCloud notes in Microsoft Outlook 2016 or earlier on a Windows computer set up for iCloud. However, if you upgrade iCloud Notes on a device with iOS 9 or OS X v10.11, notes in Outlook aren’t kept up to date with notes on iCloud.com or your devices with iOS 9 or OS X v10.11.

  • To see your iCloud notes, expand your iCloud email account in the Outlook folder list (also called the navigation pane), then select the Notes folder in the email account.

You should add and edit your iCloud notes only from iOS devices, Mac computers, or in Notes on iCloud.com. If you add or edit iCloud notes using Outlook, those changes don’t appear on your iOS devices, your Mac computers, or in Notes on iCloud.com.

For information about setting up iCloud on your Windows computer, see the Set up iCloud website.
