iTunes for Windows: Install plug-ins
Other manufacturers make software, called plug-ins, that you can use with iTunes. For example, you can get plug-ins that offer other visual effects.
Make sure any plug-in you install is designed for Windows, not a Mac computer.
Install plug-ins in Windows 8 or Windows 7
Install a plug-in for all users of the computer: Drag the plug-in to:
C:\Program Files\iTunes\Plug-ins
If the iTunes and iTunes Plug-ins folders don’t exist, you can create them.
Install a plug-in for a specific user: Drag the plug-in to:
C:\Users\username\App Data\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins\
If you want to create iTunes plug-ins, you can obtain a development kit at the Apple Developer website.
