GarageBand ‘11: Edit the movie’s audio track
When you add a movie that contains audio to a project, a new track named Movie Sound appears in the timeline below the movie track. The Movie Sound track contains an audio file with the sound from the movie. You can edit the movie’s audio track like any other track, solo or mute it, change its volume level and pan position, and add effects. You can also open the movie’s audio in the editor, and edit it like any audio file.
To edit the movie’s audio track:
Do any of the following:
Use the Solo button in the track header to hear the track by itself.
Use the Mute button in the track header to silence the track.
Use the volume slider in the track header to adjust the track’s volume level.
Use the pan dial in the track header to adjust the track’s pan position.
Add and adjust effects in the Track Info pane.
If you mute the Movie Sound track, the movie’s audio will not be included when you send the movie to iDVD or iWeb, or when you export it as a QuickTime movie.
