iTunes 12 for Mac: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store
If you’ve purchased items from the iTunes Store, you can download most of them to your devices and authorized computers (up to 10 total). This is a great way to add items to your devices without having to sync or copy files, and lets you replace iTunes files you accidentally lose or delete.
You can also check for purchases that haven’t been downloaded to your computer, or have iTunes check for them automatically. This is useful, for example, if a download is interrupted.
To find out how to download previous purchases to your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad, see the documentation for your device.
